It is from this idea that “Together We Make the Impossible” was born, EGF's new communication concept for 2026, developed in partnership with White Way. More than a campaign, this concept is a permanent invitation to everyone's participation: citizens, municipalities, partners, companies, schools, and communities. An invitation to recycle more, separate better, and look at small daily gestures as part of a larger mission: building a more sustainable future for the country and the planet. In a sector undergoing profound transformation, marked by increasingly demanding environmental goals and the need to accelerate the transition to a more circular economy, EGF reinforces its commitment to closer, more positive, and mobilizing communication. Through its 11 dealerships, present from north to south of the country, the company wants to make sustainability clearer, more human, and more present in people's real lives. The creative concept stems from a simple and powerful paradox: the impossible begins when everyone does their part. Separating packaging, recycling a bottle, placing waste in the correct recycling bin, or participating in an environmental initiative may seem like a small gesture. But when multiplied by thousands of people, this gesture gains scale, generates impact, and brings the country closer to its environmental goals.

The municipality of Alter do Chão, part of the Urban Waste Management System run by Valnor, a company of the EGF Group, has been consolidating the selective collection of bio-waste as a fundamental pillar of its sustainable waste management strategy, recording consistent growth since the service was first implemented in November 2023, and has already become a national benchmark. In the first year, the monthly average stood at 4 tonnes of bio-waste collected. In 2024, this figure rose to an average of 19 tonnes per month, climbing to 26 tonnes in 2025 and reaching, by 2026, an average of 27 tonnes per month, representing a 42% increase over two years.

VALNOR – Valorização e Tratamento de Resíduos Sólidos, S.A., the company responsible for managing the Multimunicipal System for Sorting, Selective Collection, Valorization and Treatment of Urban Solid Waste in the municipalities of Abrantes, Alter do Chão, Arronches, Avis, Campo Maior, Castelo Branco, Castelo de Vide, Crato, Elvas, Fronteira, Gavião, Idanha-a-Nova, Mação, Marvão, Monforte, Nisa, Oleiros, Ponte de Sôr, Portalegre, Proença-a-Nova, Sardoal, Sertã, Sousel, Vila de Rei and Vila Velha de Rodão, was awarded the Quality Seal for Urban Waste Management Service by the Water and Waste Services Regulatory Authority (ERSAR) in the 2026 edition.
